Sitcoms are BACK. A mockumentary with laugh out loud humour, quotable lines, guest stars and seasonal episodes. I am living for Abbott Elementary. I can’t think of another show right now that’s doing what Abbot Elementary is achieving. The majority of iconic sitcoms of the last decade like Modern Family and Brooklyn Nine Nine have ended in the last few years, so we were in desperate need of saving.

Quinta Brunson has managed to create a show that is uniquely a “feel good” watch that provides a weird sense of nostalgia in a modern setting. I know most people may highlight the fact that she is bringing light to the various problems in the American school system, which is admirable, for me though as someone who isn’t American I more so resonate and enjoy seeing the humanity of the teachers on the show. Abbott Elementary has done an amazing job in giving teachers a life out of teaching, which when I was growing up didn’t even think was possible lol. The show really is a great watch and with only 30 minute episodes way too easy to binge, so what are you waiting for?
