Muni Long’s career has gained more hyped over the last few months due to the success her single ‘Made for Me’ has had after a viral TikTok trend.

Her old school R&B vocals have taken the music world by storm providing her with the right foundation of success needed for her to take her artistry to the next level. However, before we move on to her next biggest hit I think we should all revisit Muni Long’s last album ‘Public Displays of Affection’.

Released in 2022, with 18 songs, Muni’s ‘Public Displays of Affection’ album is arguably a new school R&B masterpiece. Her song ‘Hrs & Hrs’ garnered the most success on that album; despite this, there are a few criminally underrated songs that I highly recommend everyone takes a listen to before Muni releases her next hit.


BUTTERFLY EFFECT – This is by far my favourite song on the album, Muni really solidifies herself as a vocal powerhouse in the delivery of this song. Alongside this, the lyrics are something out of a 2000s romcom that has me wanting to dramatically fall to my knees while I sing along. Listen here


PAIN – Lyricism is BACKKK with this song. Whenever I get in my feelings and want a song that’ll help me express those emotions I put this song on and let the lyrics to do the talking for me. Listen here


Another – Where my city girls at? I live by the code ‘on to the next’ and this song right here is the epitome of that. The R&B flow with the city girl lyrics is a surprisingly perfect combination and with the catchy hook Muni has vocally AND lyrically delivered once again. Listen here
