I’m actually curious to how this one will be received considering the many conversations, opinions and arguments within the natural hair community. BUT for me, like me personally, braids will always be the superior hairstyle.

I do change my hairstyle from time to time so yes I wear wigs, I’ll do a leave out weave or just style my natural hair. However the hairstyle I constantly go back to are braids. Knotless braids, regular box braids, cornrows I don’t care as long as the braids last me a month I’ll get them done. It’s just so easy to maintain, I don’t need to wake up early to make it look presentable it’s just simple.

The controversy with braided hairstyles that I’ve seen is that some people don’t consider braids to be suitable for formal occasions. I completely disagree with this, I think depending on the type of braids you get and the freshness of them a braided hairstyle can look more presentable than a wig or a weave. But this is just my personal opinion, braids are a lifestyle. A lazy less costly lifestyle, how could anyone hate on that?
